Doge's Palace Ticket Prices – Overview

The Doge's Palace in Venice is part of the St. Mark's Square Museums circuit run by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia (MUVE). Ticket prices depend on the type of ticket (standard St. Mark's Square Museums ticket, Secret Itineraries, Hidden Treasures, or Museum Pass), whether you qualify for a reduced rate, and whether you buy online and in advance. This page summarises the main prices so you can budget for your visit. For the latest figures and conditions, always check the official MUVE website and your chosen ticket seller.

St. Mark's Square Museums Ticket – Main Prices

The standard ticket that includes the Doge's Palace is the St. Mark's Square Museums ticket. It covers one entry to the Doge's Palace, the Museo Correr, the National Archaeological Museum of Venice, and the Monumental Rooms of the Marciana National Library. At the museum box office, the general (full) price is typically 35,00 € and the reduced price 15,00 €. If you buy online, the general price is often 30,00 €. A further discount is sometimes available for online purchases made at least 30 days before your visit date—this is reserved for advance planners and can make a noticeable difference for families or groups. Reduced tickets apply to children aged 6–14, students (15–25), visitors over 65, holders of the Venice Rolling Card or ISIC, and other categories listed on our discounts page.

Secret Itineraries and Hidden Treasures Tour Prices

Both the Secret Itineraries and the Doge's Hidden Treasures tours are guided experiences that include access to the Doge's Palace and the other St. Mark's Square museums. The full price for each of these tours is typically 40,00 € and the reduced price 20,00 €. Reduced rates apply to the same kinds of categories as above (e.g. children 6–14, students 15–25, over 65, residents, Rolling Venice, Museum Pass holders, etc.). These tours have limited places and fixed departure times, so booking in advance is recommended. For details on what each tour includes, see Secret Itineraries and Hidden Treasures.

Museum Pass Price

The Museum Pass is a cumulative ticket valid for six months, giving one admission to each of the participating civic museums, including the Doge's Palace. The general price is typically 50,00 € and the reduced price 25,00 €. It is useful if you plan to visit several MUVE museums during your stay. The Clock Tower is not included. More on the Museum Pass and combined tickets.

School and Family Offers

Schools can benefit from a special school offer (e.g. around 5,50 € per person for entrance from 1 September to 15 March), subject to the conditions published by MUVE. The Seniors + Junior offer gives a reduced ticket to all paying members of a group made up of two adults and at least one youth (up to 16 years old). For who qualifies for free admission (e.g. children 0–5, Venetian residents, ICOM members, disabled visitors with helper), see the official visitor information. Our family and student pages have more practical tips.

Why Prices May Vary

Prices shown here are based on the official MUVE tariff. Third-party sellers may add a booking or service fee, or bundle the same ticket with other services (e.g. guided tours, skip-the-line). The amount you pay can therefore differ slightly from the figures above. Always check the final price and what is included before confirming your booking. Currency conversion may also affect the cost if you pay in a currency other than euros.

Tips to Get the Best Value

To get the best value on Doge's Palace tickets: (1) Buy online in advance to benefit from the online general price and, if available, the 30-day advance discount. (2) Check if you qualify for a reduced or free ticket and bring the required ID or cards. (3) If you want to see several civic museums, compare the total cost of single tickets with the Museum Pass. (4) Consider visiting in the low season or on weekdays when it is easier to find availability. (5) For guided tours (Secret Itineraries, Hidden Treasures), book early as capacity is limited.

Where to See Official Prices

The Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia publishes the official ticket prices and conditions on their website (visitmuve.it) and at the museum. We recommend checking there and with your chosen seller before purchasing. Our guide is for information only and does not replace the official tariff.
