Doge's Palace Combined Tickets – One Ticket, Multiple Museums
Visiting the Doge's Palace in Venice often goes hand in hand with seeing the other museums around St. Mark's Square. The Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia (MUVE) sells combined tickets that include the palace and one or more other venues, so you can save money and plan your day with a single purchase. This page explains the main Doge's Palace combined and 2-in-1 style tickets: the St. Mark's Square Museums ticket (four venues in one) and the Museum Pass (many civic museums over six months).
St. Mark's Square Museums Ticket – The Main Combined Option
The St. Mark's Square Museums ticket is the main combined ticket that includes the Doge's Palace. One purchase gives you access to: (1) the Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale); (2) the Museo Correr; (3) the National Archaeological Museum of Venice; and (4) the Monumental Rooms of the Marciana National Library. So it is effectively a “4-in-1” ticket for the square. You can use it on the same day or within the validity period shown on your ticket. Prices are lower when you buy online, and there is often an extra discount for purchases made at least 30 days in advance. Reduced rates apply to children, students, seniors, and other eligible categories. This is the best combined deal if you want to focus on St. Mark's Square. See prices and tickets.
Secret Itineraries and Hidden Treasures – Combined with Standard Visit
The Secret Itineraries and Hidden Treasures tours are sold as combined products: the ticket includes the guided tour (to the secret rooms or the Doge's private quarters) plus access without a guide to the rest of the Doge's Palace and to the Museo Correr, the National Archaeological Museum, and the Marciana Library rooms. So you get a “tour + standard museums” combo. The price is higher than the standard St. Mark's Square ticket but includes the exclusive guided experience. Ideal if you want both the special itinerary and the possibility to explore the other museums on your own. Details: Secret Itineraries, Hidden Treasures.
Museum Pass – Multi-Museum Combined Ticket
The Museum Pass is a cumulative ticket valid for six months. It gives one single admission to each of the participating MUVE museums, including the Doge's Palace, the Correr/Archaeological/Marciana complex, Ca' Rezzonico, Palazzo Mocenigo, Ca' Pesaro, the Glass Museum in Murano, the Lace Museum in Burano, the Natural History Museum, the Fortuny Museum, and others (e.g. Candiani in Mestre for MUVE exhibitions). The Clock Tower is not included. If you are staying in Venice for several days and plan to visit more than just the Doge's Palace and the square museums, the Museum Pass can be good value. Full and reduced prices apply. More on the Museum Pass.
2-in-1 and Third-Party Combos
Some sellers advertise “2-in-1” or similar combos that pair the Doge's Palace with another attraction (e.g. a basilica visit, a gondola ride, or another museum). These are not official MUVE products but bundles put together by the seller. Always check exactly what is included (which museums, time slots, validity) and the total price. The official “combined” products from MUVE are the St. Mark's Square Museums ticket and the Museum Pass; the Secret Itineraries and Hidden Treasures are “tour + museums” combos.
Which Combined Ticket to Choose?
Choose the St. Mark's Square Museums ticket if you want to see the Doge's Palace and the other three venues on or around the square in one day (or within the ticket validity). Choose the Secret Itineraries or Hidden Treasures if you want the guided experience plus the same museum access. Choose the Museum Pass if you are in Venice for longer and plan to visit several civic museums over time. Compare the total cost of single entries with the combined price to see which saves you more.
