Museum Pass – One Ticket for Doge's Palace and All MUVE Museums

The Museum Pass is the cumulative ticket of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia (MUVE). It is valid for 6 months and gives one single admission to each of the participating civic museums currently open, including the Doge's Palace. If you are planning a longer stay in Venice or several visits over half a year, the Museum Pass can be more economical than buying separate tickets for each venue. This page explains what is included, the price, and who can get a reduced rate.

Which Museums Are Included in the Museum Pass?

The Museum Pass includes one admission to each of the following (subject to opening and MUVE’s current list): Doge's Palace; the combined itinerary of Museo Correr, National Archaeological Museum of Venice, and Monumental Rooms of the Marciana National Library; Ca' Rezzonico – Museum of 18th Century Venice; Museum of Palazzo Mocenigo; Carlo Goldoni's House; Ca' Pesaro (International Gallery of Modern Art and Oriental Art Museum); Glass Museum in Murano; Lace Museum in Burano; Natural History Museum; Fortuny Museum; Torcello Museum; and MUVE exhibitions at the Candiani Cultural Centre in Mestre. The Clock Tower (Torre dell'Orologio) is not included. Check the official visitmuve.it site for the full and updated list.

Price and Validity

The Museum Pass is typically 50 € full price and 25 € reduced. It is valid for 6 months from the date of first use or as stated on the ticket. Each museum can be visited once with the pass. So you get one entry to the Doge's Palace, one to the Correr/Archaeological/Marciana complex, one to Ca' Rezzonico, and so on. If you only want to see the Doge's Palace once, the St. Mark's Square Museums ticket may be enough; if you want to explore several civic museums over time, the Museum Pass is the right product. See prices and combined tickets.

Reduced Museum Pass

The reduced Museum Pass (e.g. 25 €) applies to: children aged 6–14, students aged 15–25, visitors over 65, holders of the Rolling Venice Card, and holders of the ISIC (International Student Identity Card). Valid ID is required. The Seniors + Junior offer (reduced for groups of two adults and at least one youth up to 16) also applies to the Museum Pass. For the full list, see the official MUVE website and our discounts page.

How to Buy and Use the Museum Pass

You can buy the Museum Pass from the official MUVE ticket offices, online via the official channels, or sometimes through authorised sellers. When you first use it at any of the included museums, the pass is activated (if that is the rule in force). Bring the pass and a valid ID each time you visit. The pass does not include guided tours such as the Secret Itineraries or Hidden Treasures; those require a separate ticket. For the Doge's Palace, you enter with the pass like any other visitor; check opening hours and any time-slot rules on the official site.

Museum Pass vs. St. Mark's Square Museums Ticket

The St. Mark's Square Museums ticket (about 35 € / 30 € online) gives one access to the Doge's Palace, Correr, Archaeological Museum, and Marciana Library—ideal for one or two days focused on the square. The Museum Pass (50 € / 25 € reduced) gives one access to each of many civic museums over six months—ideal for multiple visits or a longer stay. If you only plan to see the Doge's Palace and the other three square museums once, the St. Mark's Square ticket is usually enough. If you also want Ca' Rezzonico, Murano, Burano, and others, add up the single ticket costs and compare with the Museum Pass.
